Vice President of Operations

Michael Page Denver, CO (Onsite) Full-Time
$275,000 - $300,000/Year

You will be responsible for overseeing two manufacturing operations, including one established facility and one new facility currently under construction that will require full operational ramp‑up. In addition to manufacturing, this role will provide leadership over facilities and logistics/fulfillment, ensuring seamless execution from production through shipment to customers.

Description

Operational & Manufacturing Leadership

  • Oversee end‑to‑end manufacturing operations across two facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production of high‑quality products
  • Lead the start‑up, commissioning, and ramp‑up of a new manufacturing facility, including staffing, training, process validation, and scale‑up
  • Implement best practices and innovative strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency
  • Ensure consistent manufacturing standards, performance metrics, and operating practices across sites

Facilities Leadership

  • Provide executive oversight of facilities operations, including maintenance, utilities, capital projects, and site infrastructure
  • Partner with Engineering and external vendors to support equipment installation, qualification, and ongoing facility readiness
  • Ensure facilities meet all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Logistics & Fulfillment

  • Oversee logistics and fulfillment operations, including finished goods warehousing, order processing, pick/pack/ship, and outbound transportation
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of products to customers
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Customer Operations to support service levels, inventory flow, and customer satisfaction

Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance

  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality control and operational standards to ensure safe, effective, and compliant products
  • Work in close partnership with Quality and Safety teams to maintain inspection readiness and navigate complex regulatory landscapes
  • Stay current on applicable FDA, cGMP, and food/nutraceutical regulations and ensure enterprise‑wide compliance

Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and execute operations and manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and growth plans
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, innovation, and adoption of new manufacturing and operations technologies
  • Support new product introductions and capacity expansion initiatives

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, inspire, and develop manufacturing, facilities, and logistics leaders
  • Build a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Assess talent and drive leadership development to ensure the organization is equipped for growth and scale

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications preferred)
  • Proven senior leadership experience in nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with deep exposure to highly regulated environments (FDA, cGMP, FSMA); chocolate manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Sr. Director or higher) with multi‑site responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing operations, including new facility start‑ups, expansions, or greenfield builds
  • Strong background in operational excellence, quality systems, and regulatory compliance within fast‑paced or growth‑oriented environments
  • Working knowledge of facilities management, including capital projects, equipment installation, and site readiness
  • Experience overseeing or partnering closely with logistics and fulfillment operations, including warehousing, order processing, and shipping
  • In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and regulatory standards
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to inspire and motivate cross‑functional teams
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of implementing solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and service levels
  • Proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing/operations systems
  • Ability to translate vision into action, designing organizational structures, processes, and performance systems aligned with the company's goals over the next 3-5 years
  • Proactive, results‑driven mindset with the ability to prioritize initiatives and lead operational excellence programs
