Reporting into the Assistant Controller with high visibility to the Controller and CFO, you will assist in the month-end close process and identify any gaps in their processes to improve the internal controls. I'm partnered with the CFO at a high growth, privately held, global, manufacturer of world-class products. The company is experiencing immense growth right now and have a newly created Senior Accountant position for a strong individual to join their team.

As the Senior Accountant, you will assist in the month-end close process and identify any gaps in their processes to improve the internal controls. Description

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Reviewing monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records.
• Preparing monthly financial statements for internal and external distribution, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Managing reconciliation tasks with an audit focus.
• Identifying operational gaps within the organization and devising strategies for improvement and automation.
• Establishing effective internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
• Promoting ongoing enhancement in cost accounting to boost the accuracy, detail, and usability of costing data. Offering strategic recommendations to enhance overall accounting performance.
• Managing daily banking operations throughout the entire revenue cycle.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and process improvement experience within a manufacturing industry
• Experience in Cost Accounting
• Experience with ERP systems and process improvement
• Ability to think outside the box and demonstrate creativity
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
