Construction Superintendent - Healthcare Construction - Madison
Mid-sized, veteran-owned general contractor is looking to add a superintendent to their team due to project demand. This firm maintains a tight-knit culture while working on highly complex builds, many times through joint ventures with $1B+ contractors. See below for more details. Description
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure healthcare projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to maintain efficient workflow
- Enforce strict compliance with healthcare regulations, codes, and safety standards (e.g., infection control)
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and hospital stakeholders to address project requirements
- Monitor quality control to ensure all work meets design specifications and healthcare facility standards
- Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment usage, and site access in active medical environments
- Identify and resolve construction issues, conflicts, or delays in real time
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, inspections, and compliance records
Profile
- 2+ years of general contracting experience, preferably in the healthcare, commercial, or municipal markets.
- Knowledge of all relevant safety guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Trades background or construction management degree preferred, but not required
Job Offer
- Competitive base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 based on qualifications
