Cyber Risk Analyst
Our Non-Profit client is seeking seeking a Cyber Risk Analyst to join the Division of Information Technology (DIT) and enhance cybersecurity efforts within the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). The ideal candidate will conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations to protect digital assets.

They facilitate collaborations between government and the private sector to enhance community health and address public health needs across the city.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Cyber Risk Analyst include conducting risk assessments to identify cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, and monitoring security incidents and trends. The role also involves ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations, maintaining security policies, collaborating with IT teams to follow security best practices, and staying up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats.
Profile
A successful candidate for the Cyber Risk Analyst position will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risk mitigation techniques, backed by at least 5 years of experience in the field. They will possess relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) and have hands-on experience with security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with IT teams to ensure best practices and compliance with cybersecurity regulations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential for success in this role.
