Client Details

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to join our dynamic team in Brooklyn, NY. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in Big Box Retail or Healthcare construction projects. The Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day operations of the job site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

  • Site Supervision: Lead and manage all construction activities on-site, ensuring the successful execution of projects within established deadlines, scope, and budget.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site, including subcontractors and workers.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and the client to ensure seamless coordination and smooth workflow throughout the project.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure adherence to building codes, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise on-site crews, providing direction, guidance, and motivation to ensure efficient performance and productivity.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address any challenges or delays that arise, proposing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, logs, and schedules, ensuring proper communication with the project team and stakeholders.

Profile

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in Big Box Retail or Healthcare construction projects.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, safety, and quality control.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain positive working relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Certification and other relevant certifications preferred.
