Finance and Investment Director - Remote (West Coast)
Finance and Investment Director that will report into the Head of the US and lead finance for US projects.
Client Details
Our client is an established and well backed renewable energy company. They are a builder, owner, operator model and already own one of the largest renewable energy projects globally, with more to come. They are looking to grow their presence in the US and already have 2 large scale projects underway.
Description
- Develop and implement financing strategies for large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage.
- Lead the financial analysis, modeling, and valuation of projects to assess feasibility and profitability.
- Identify and secure funding from a variety of sources, including banks, private equity, and government incentives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and regulatory affairs, to ensure project viability and alignment with corporate goals.
- Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and financial partners to support ongoing and future projects.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and investment proposals to senior management and the board.
- Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to optimize investment strategies.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or financial management within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and financial instruments.
- Proven track record of structuring and closing large-scale project finance transactions.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
Job Offer
- Salary $150,000 to $200,000 plus bonus, LTIP and benefits.
- Remote working available across West Coast States or physical presence in Portland/Houston.
