Description
My client is seeking an experienced and passionate Safety Manager to lead the charge in reshaping its safety culture. The Safety Manager will be instrumental in building trust across teams, simplifying safety practices, and embedding safety as a core company value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols and procedures across all job sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing training for all field staff and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with Project Executives, Superintendents, and Project Managers to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Establish a streamlined system for tracking and communicating safety issues.
- Assess and update the company's safety manual; implement a comprehensive orientation and education plan.
- Support labor management by coordinating supervision and labor coverage based on staff skillsets and project needs.
- Provide recommendations for safety tracking and reporting platforms to improve efficiency.

Profile
The ideal candidate is a proactive, field-oriented safety professional who thrives on building relationships and driving cultural change. They are not just a rule enforcer but a trusted leader who inspires safe practices through education, collaboration, and accountability.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with a General Contractor (GC); large interiors experience preferred, but ground-up experience also valued.
- OSHA 30 certification required; CSP, CHST, or OSHA Outreach Trainer certifications preferred.
- Proven track record of reducing incidents and improving safety engagement on job sites.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and educate diverse teams.
- Experience developing or revamping safety manuals and training programs.
- Comfortable with both field and office environments; flexible to travel between job sites as needed.
