Procurement Manager - Chemicals and Coatings

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee the purchasing and procurement processes for chemicals and coatings. In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and optimizing the sourcing of chemicals and coatings materials to support the company's manufacturing and operational needs.

Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for chemicals and coatings to meet the organization's business objectives.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers for chemicals and coatings, considering quality, cost, delivery times, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including production, R&D, and quality control teams, to ensure the timely delivery of chemicals and coatings to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor and maintain an optimal inventory of chemicals and coatings, minimizing stock outs and excess inventory while ensuring supply continuity.
  • Evaluate supplier performance through regular reviews, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements related to chemicals and coatings procurement, including environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Analyze market trends and industry developments to anticipate changes in pricing, availability, and demand.
  • Manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring long-term partnerships and favorable terms for the company.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, providing insights on supply chain performance, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes, implementing best practices, and leveraging technology to streamline operations.

Profile

A successful 'Procurement Manager - Chemicals and Coatings' should have:
