Engineering/Production Manager - CNC Machine Shop
The Engineering Manager will direct and oversee all engineering operations, stepping immediately into a key senior leadership role. You'll drive project planning, lead a team of CNC Machinists and Programmers, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across production. My client is a fast‑growing CNC machine shop specializing in high‑precision components for a wide range of industries. As they prepare for significant expansion, they're looking for an experienced Engineering/Ops Manager with a machining background to help build the team and guide the organization into its next phase of growth.
Description
- Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure project deadlines and goals are met.
- Lead a team of CNC Programmers/Machinists to ensure jobs are set up properly.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for engineering projects.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement in engineering operations.
Profile
- Proven leadership abilities in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge surrounding CNC machining (3, 4, 5-axis milling/turning).
- Strong knowledge of industrial/manufacturing processes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.

Job Offer
- Base salary $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience level.
- 3 weeks PTO + company holidays.
