Engineering/Production Manager - CNC Machine Shop

Client Details

My client is a fast‑growing CNC machine shop specializing in high‑precision components for a wide range of industries. As they prepare for significant expansion, they're looking for an experienced Engineering/Ops Manager with a machining background to help build the team and guide the organization into its next phase of growth.

Description

  • Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure project deadlines and goals are met.
  • Lead a team of CNC Programmers/Machinists to ensure jobs are set up properly.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for engineering projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement in engineering operations.

Profile

  • Proven leadership abilities in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge surrounding CNC machining (3, 4, 5-axis milling/turning).
  • Strong knowledge of industrial/manufacturing processes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
  • A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.

Job Offer

  • Base salary $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience level.
