Senior Accounting Manager | F100 Manufacturer | Schaumburg, IL
This Accounting Manager opening is with a highly reputable manufacturing organization based in Schaumburg. This role will provide the opportunity to build out a team of strong staff and senior accountants, ensuring the firm is compliant with GAAP, firm and other relevant policies.

Description
- Lead the monthly financial close process across four manufacturing plants, integrating multiple accounting systems (Sage and SAP) and managing foreign currency transactions
- Review and approve journal entries and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee monthly account reconciliations and weekly bank reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement; develop trend analyses and quarterly lender reporting packages
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and plant finance teams to analyze variances and monitor financial performance
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and contribute to special projects to support business decision-making
- Support the annual external audit by preparing required documentation and coordinating with auditors
- Contribute to the development and documentation of business processes and standard operating procedures to enhance financial reporting and internal controls
- Identify and recommend process improvements, leveraging data and automation to increase efficiency and reduce complexity
- Assist in the design and implementation of new financial systems and reporting tools to drive operational excellence
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Senior Accountants, supporting their professional growth and development
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MBA preferred
- CPA license required
- 5-7 years of experience working with GAAP accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Prior experience managing a team
- Ability to be detail-oriented, self-starter, and develop personnel
