Assistant Project Manager
My client is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support ground-up construction projects in Vancouver, WA. This role involves working closely with the Project Manager and site teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Client Details
Our client is an established Regional General Contractor that primarily focuses on tenant improvements and ground up commercial construction. Their projects range from $2 to $50M in value, focusing on medical, industrial, k-12 tenant improvements. The company is experiencing constant growth due to market growth and a diverse pipeline.
Description
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing all phases of ground-up construction projects.
Work with the Project Manager to develop project schedules, budgets, and work scopes.
Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Monitor job site progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Conduct site visits and coordinate with field staff to resolve any construction issues.
Track project costs and support financial reporting to ensure budget adherence.
Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, providing updates on project progress.
Ensure adherence to all local building codes, permits, and regulations.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience in construction project management, with ground-up construction experience preferred.
Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar).
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.
Willingness to work on-site and adapt to dynamic construction environments.
