AR deductions specialist - Food and Beverage Company
Client Details
We are working with a rapidly expanding food and beverage brand located in the heart of Venice, Los Angeles. They have ambitious plans and are looking to add to their already high performing AR team.
Description
As an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist focused on deductions, you will play a crucial role in the finance department. You will be responsible for managing and resolving deductions taken by customers against invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Investigate and analyze deductions taken by customers to ensure validity and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve deduction issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of deduction claims and resolutions.
- Identify trends in deductions and work proactively to address root causes.
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Sales teams to minimize future deduction occurrences.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to deductions and accounts receivable.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, deductions management, or related finance roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics) is a plus.
Job Offer
- Hourly rate $30 to $40 per hour (depending on experience)
