Senior Project Manager- Multifamily/ Commercial

Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of ground-up multifamily construction projects in the Portland metro area. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing large-scale, ground-up multifamily developments from preconstruction through final turnover. This individual will be responsible for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, team management, and client relations.

Description



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of ground-up multifamily construction projects (typically $15M-$100M+).

  • Oversee preconstruction activities including estimating, budgeting, and constructability reviews.

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.

  • Direct and mentor project engineers, assistant PMs, and site superintendents.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure adherence to design specifications, building codes, and safety standards.

  • Negotiate and manage subcontracts, change orders, and procurement strategies.

  • Conduct regular project meetings, reporting progress to executive leadership and clients.

  • Resolve project-related issues, delays, or risks proactively.

  • Ensure quality control, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction from groundbreaking to closeout.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in ground-up multifamily developments.

  • Proven track record of managing multifamily projects (50+ units) from start to finish.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, means, and technology.

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).

  • Deep understanding of Oregon building codes and permitting processes.

  • LEED, PMP, or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
