Project Manager - Academic Projects in Rhode Island

I am supporting a top tier construction management firm as they look to add a Project Manager in Providence. This person will lead projects across multiple sectors while joining a team known for stability, growth, and strong work life balance.

Our client is a respected construction management firm with a long standing reputation across New England. With a history dating back to the early nineteen thirties and an Employee Stock Ownership structure, they have created a culture where people stay, contribute, and grow. They deliver projects across corporate, healthcare, academic, public, and historic renovation sectors and offer services spanning preconstruction, CM at risk, general contracting, design build, construction administration, and owner representation. The team operates out of Connecticut and Rhode Island and manages projects throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Description

* Lead all phases of construction projects from planning through closeout

* Manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships

* Coordinate with internal teams including estimating, field operations, and leadership

* Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration

* Ensure quality control, safety, and compliance with project requirements

* Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress reporting

* Support preconstruction efforts including scope development and value analysis

Profile

* Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction

* Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project controls

* Ability to communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

* Experience managing projects in sectors such as healthcare, corporate, academic, public, or similar

* Leadership skills with a collaborative and solutions oriented mindset

* Ability to work both in the field and in the office environment Job Offer
