Construction Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Superintendent to lead the on-site management of ground-up big box retail projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Description

On-Site Management:
- Direct and oversee all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking to project completion.
- Supervise subcontractors, trades, and labor crews to maintain productivity and quality.

Project Execution:
- Coordinate and enforce project schedules to meet established deadlines.
- Ensure all construction activities align with project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.

Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and design specifications.
- Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies promptly.

Safety Management:
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety risks on the job site.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates and address challenges.

Resource Management:
- Monitor material deliveries, equipment usage, and labor allocation to ensure efficiency.
- Manage on-site inventory and ensure proper handling of resources.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate daily reports, including work progress, changes, and incidents.
- Assist in reviewing subcontractor invoices, change orders, and project documentation.
Profile
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Superintendent, with a focus on ground-up big box retail projects.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale retail construction projects successfully.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
- Familiarity with commercial building codes, zoning requirements, and permitting processes.

Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and adapt to changing project conditions.
