Description
The Project Manager will oversee the successful delivery of ground-up and renovation projects, with a strong focus on educational, municipal, and commercial facilities. This individual will manage all phases from preconstruction to closeout, coordinating closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency at every stage. Responsibilities include budget control, scheduling, procurement, and project documentation, while maintaining strong communication with owners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in managing public sector projects, thrives in a collaborative environment, and demonstrates the leadership skills necessary to deliver complex builds on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee all phases of educational, municipal, and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines to ensure successful, cost-effective delivery
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and engineers to maintain alignment and project progress
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Lead procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors to support timely project execution
- Monitor overall project performance, identify potential challenges early, and implement effective solutions
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and company procedures across all project sites
- Manage all project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting records
- Communicate consistently with clients and stakeholders, providing progress updates and managing expectations
- Conduct project meetings and site walks to evaluate work, address field issues, and drive timely resolutions
- Oversee the closeout process including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover documentation to ensure client satisfaction

Profile
In return for a competitive compensation package, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 7+ years of experience managing ground-up and renovation projects in educational, municipal, and/or commercial construction - essential
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards - essential
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills for managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors - essential
- Ability to work onsite daily at active job sites across the Greater Houston area - essential
- In-depth knowledge of public sector building methods, sequencing, and project delivery requirements - preferred
- Familiarity with construction safety standards, quality control practices, and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera) - preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field - preferred
Job Offer
- Base salary between $120,000 and $130,000, depending on experience
