Description

• Conduct detailed inspections of construction projects involving highways, bridges, and related infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local codes, and safety regulations.
• Review plans, specifications, and other project documents to identify potential issues before construction begins.
• Prepare and submit accurate inspection reports, documenting progress, quality, and any issues or deviations.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure materials, methods, and workmanship meet the required standards.
• Provide technical advice and support on construction methods and problem-solving during the project lifecycle.
• Assist in resolving construction-related conflicts and discrepancies as needed.

Profile

• NICET Certification (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction inspection, with specific experience in highways and bridges.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards for highways and bridges.
• Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT standards.
• Strong understanding of project plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to conduct on-site inspections and identify issues related to quality, safety, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
