Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Construction Superintendent to manage and supervise the construction operations of site development and utilities projects. This position will play a key role in ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, site development, and utility systems.

My Client is a leading Site Development and Utilities Contractor, specializing in large-scale infrastructure, utility installations, and site preparation. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, efficient, and safe projects on time and within budget. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations on our construction sites.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all field operations for site development and utility installation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, ensuring work is completed per project specifications and timelines.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies on the job site, conducting safety meetings and inspections as required.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
- Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications, providing input and recommendations as needed.
- Manage material and equipment resources, ensuring proper ordering, delivery, and storage on-site.
- Troubleshoot any site issues that may arise and resolve problems proactively.
- Prepare and submit daily reports on site progress, labor, equipment usage, and materials.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing updates as needed.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in site development and utility construction.
- Strong knowledge of site development processes, including grading, drainage, utilities, paving, and other infrastructure work.
- Experience with utility systems such as water, sewer, storm drainage, and electrical installations.
- Proven ability to manage and lead crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification (preferred).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
