Project Manager - K-12/Education

$95,000 - $140,000/Year

The Construction Manager will manage one or more education construction projects as part of a team.

Client Details

The client is a established Dallas based general contractor with a pipeline of commercial projects. They are looking for a experienced K12/Municipal Project Manager that is looking for a long term opportunity.

Description

  • Project planning and mobilization.
  • Accepting the project from the estimating department at budget transfer.
  • Preparation of the CPM baseline, monthly CPM schedule updates and narratives, and CPM fragments with changes and delays.
  • Processing submittals to achieve the project schedule and the contract documents. Expediting the material deliveries of subcontractors and vendors
  • Cost reports - weekly and monthly review of job cost reports and preparation of monthly analysis. Carefully analyze cost AND schedule problems and initiate new alternatives, which will cause a course correction.

Profile

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Education project experience REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or similar
  • Ability to monitor and administer projects ranging up to $40MM
  • Experience with Ground Up and Renovation projects preferred
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to read, interpret and develop statistical reports
  • Must be able to read and interpret building and site plans and specifications.
  • Must be able to prepare cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Proficient with CMiC, Procore or similar software
