This Senior Manufacturing Engineer role leads CNC programming, advanced process development, and production readiness activities for highly engineered medical device components and assemblies.
The position supports both new product introduction and continuous improvement, with significant ownership over machining strategy, validations, documentation, and cross‑functional technical leadership.

Description
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead the development, optimization, and validation of manufacturing processes for CNC‑machined components, catheter sub‑assemblies, and finished medical devices. This role includes programming new CNC jobs, designing tooling and fixtures, troubleshooting complex machining challenges, and supporting NPI from early concept through full-scale production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead CNC programming, machining optimization, tooling design, and hands‑on troubleshooting.
- Develop scalable manufacturing processes for NPI and transfer programs from prototype to production.
- Oversee documentation, validation, TMV studies, and regulatory compliance activities.
Profile
The ideal candidate has strong CNC machining experience, especially in multi‑axis programming, machining exotic alloys, and developing robust processes for regulated industries. They excel in process validation, documentation, NPI leadership, and structured problem‑solving methodologies, while collaborating effectively across engineering, operations, and quality teams.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of precision CNC machining experience; medical device experience preferred.
- Strong CAD/CAM proficiency and deep knowledge of multi‑axis machining and tooling.
- Experience with ISO 13485, validations, DOE, capability studies, and NPI transfers.
