Description

The Construction Estimator will:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for drywall projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate project scopes and budgets.
• Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate cost overruns.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to align with project budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of estimated and actual costs for ongoing and completed projects.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry practices to ensure competitive pricing.
• Assist in project planning and forecasting to support the construction department.

Profile

A successful Construction Estimator should have:

• Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry, specifically in drywall projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and cost structures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver accurate estimates.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
