Aerospace - CNC Programmer - Springfield, MA
As a CNC Programmer for Mill/Turn and Lathe machines, you will develop and optimize CNC programs to automate precision machining operations. You'll work closely with the shop floor to troubleshoot and refine programs, select tooling, and drive continuous improvements in process efficiency and quality within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture; use PPE as required
- Create CNC programs and select tooling and tool paths using CAM software
- Verify completed programs using Vericut software to simulate machining processes
- Develop tooling and setup sheets to guide shop floor operations
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve tooling and program-related issues on the production floor
- Review and modify existing programs and setups to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain clean, organized work areas following 6S procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred
- Experience programming CNC milling and lathe machines
- Ability to read, interpret, and edit CNC program code on the shop floor
- Hands-on experience operating multi-axis CNC mills and lathes
- CAD/CAM experience, preferably with NX software
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency
- Knowledge of CNC machining techniques, tooling selection, speeds, and feeds
- Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and specifications
- Strong analytical skills to gather, process, and interpret data for problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
