Paralegal - LatAm (Corporate)

The Paralegal - LatAm (Corporate) will provide essential support to attorneys in corporate matters, with a focus on Latin America. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Description

  • Assist deal teams with LatAm corporate transactions and related documentation.
  • Proofread and cross-check corporate deal documents, including defined terms.
  • Manage virtual data rooms (VDRs) and assist with DocuSign requests.
  • Conduct legal and non-legal research using tools such as SEC/EDGAR and financial databases.
  • Prepare audit letter responses and maintain attorney and deal team binders.
  • Ensure proper file management and compliance with department protocols.
  • Support attorneys during all transaction phases with limited supervision.

Profile

A successful Paralegal - LatAm (Corporate) should have:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of corporate paralegal experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
  • Strong research skills and proficiency with electronic databases.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and electronic filing tools.
