Our client, an aerospace and industrial markets supplier based just west of Chicago, was established more than 80 years ago. They are a family run business and describe themselves as a one stop shop where they can serve their customers in full service style. They currently reside in an 80,000+ sq. ft. facility with 60+ CNC machines supporting production for high mix/ low volume projects. This company believes strongly in the development of their people, and expect this role to grow into a leadership position down the line - average tenure being 20+ years for full time employments. Description

• Utilise extensive CNC programming background to develop efficient programs for custom and complex parts
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through designing CAM templates, writing work instructions, and optimising CAM programs
• Showcase and action strong understanding of programming, tool selection, and machining processes
• Troubleshoot production issues throughout the process, & interface with Quality, Maintenance, & Production teams to optimise manufacturability
• Implement GD&T in the manufacturing process
• Communicate effectively with operators, engineers, and team leaders

Profile

• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree is preferred, but can be offset with relevant manufacturing experience
• Strong background in Mastercam programming
• Open to learn and collaborate with multiple teams on-site
• Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines
• Experience with SolidWorks and Vericut software is a plus
• Background experience in composite materials is a plus

Job Offer

• Base salary $85,000 - $100,000, depending on experience
• 3 weeks PTO and 9 company holidays
