Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including quantity take-offs, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to develop accurate and competitive bids.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes; develop scopes of work and ensure coverage for all trades.
- Lead bid-day activities, including final pricing compilation, bid form completion, and submission.
- Collaborate with project managers, preconstruction managers, and field staff to ensure alignment between the estimate and project execution strategy.
- Perform value engineering and cost-saving analysis to provide clients with options that meet their budget without compromising quality.
- Maintain an organized historical cost database and update unit pricing based on market trends.
- Participate in project handoff meetings and support the transition from estimating to operations.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand project logistics, constraints, and other cost-impacting factors.
- Track and manage bid schedules and proposal deadlines, ensuring timely and complete submissions.
- Prepare and present estimate reports for internal review and client presentation as needed.
Profile
- 2+ years experience within the construction industry
- Previous estimating experience
- MEP subcontractor experience highly desired
- Must be ambitious and driven to succeed, you would describe yourself as someone who has a calculated approach and are always thinking of your next move
- Someone who genuinely wants to be part of a thriving work-place culture and is excited to partake in extracurricular activities together like volunteering etc.
- 4 year Bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field of study highly desired
- Possess the team's values of integrity, humility, and self-improvement
- Software proficiency with the following preferred but not required: REVIT, 3D Models, AutoDesk, Onscreen Takeoff

- Base salary 95-120K
