Precon Manager
Opportunity for an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, budgeting, and early‑stage planning for ground‑up and complex commercial projects in South Florida.
Ideal for a detail‑oriented leader skilled in client collaboration, conceptual pricing, and managing the full preconstruction cycle.

A well‑established and growing commercial general contractor with a strong footprint in the Miami market, delivering ground‑up and renovation projects across sectors such as commercial, institutional, mixed‑use, healthcare, and education. They foster a collaborative environment where preconstruction has a strategic seat at the table and strong influence over project success.
Description
- Lead preconstruction efforts from concept through GMP and handoff to operations.
- Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and conceptual pricing.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers during early design phases.
- Review drawings, specifications, and value‑engineering options.
- Manage bid packages, subcontractor outreach, and scope leveling.
- Analyze project risks, logistics, phasing, and constructability.
- Generate schedules and assist with cost‑loaded planning.
- Present budgets and recommendations to internal leadership and clients.
- Support project transitions from preconstruction to operations.
Profile
- 5-10+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating within commercial construction.
- Strong background in ground‑up commercial, institutional, or mixed‑use projects.
- Skilled in conceptual estimating and early‑phase project planning.
- Proficient with estimating software (e.g., Sage, On‑Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam).
- Strong understanding of local subcontractor markets and Miami cost conditions.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client‑facing skills.
- Able to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines simultaneously.
- Stable job history with proven precon leadership success.
