Sr. Estimator - Commercial and Multifamily Construction
The Sr. / Lead Estimator will play a vital role in the planning and execution of construction projects. This position requires exceptional analytical abilities, a strong understanding of construction practices and costs, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, project management experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Our client is a leading South Florida General Contractor with a strong track record in Government and Multifamily Construction projects.
Description
- Cost Estimation: Conduct comprehensive cost estimations for construction projects, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Project Analysis: Evaluate project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify potential risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for value engineering.
- Budget Development: Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop accurate and detailed budgets for proposed construction projects.
- Experience with Conceptual Estimates
- Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit well-organized and competitive bids in response to project invitations, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality workmanship.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with design teams and subcontractors to identify cost-saving alternatives without compromising project quality and functionality.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide cost-related insights and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, bid documents, and other project-related information. Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, construction material costs, labor rates, and market conditions to support accurate estimating and cost forecasting.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Preconstruction Estimator or similar role in South Florida (REQUIRED)
- 10+ years of estimating experience on large ground up and renovation projects ($25M+)
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
