Inside Sales / Customer Service - Machine Shop - Ayer, MA

We are looking for a motivated Inside Sales / Customer Service professional to join a machine shop in Ayer, MA, within the custom metal manufacturing industry. This role involves supporting sales operations while providing excellent customer service to clients and ensuring smooth communication between departments.

Client Details

Our client is located north of Boston, and is a full-service advanced materials processing and contract manufacturing provider that supplies custom fabrication, machining, laser cutting/drilling/welding, lapping/polishing and turnkey assembly of exotic and legacy materials (ceramics, metals, adhesives, foils, substrates) to high-tech OEMs in the medical, bioscience, RF/microwave & microelectronics, aerospace & defense sectors.

They not only process customer‐supplied material, but also stock and source raw materials and deliver just-in-time solutions, acting as a one-stop supply chain partner for design through production.

Description

• Cross collaboration - environment speaking w/ engineering, quality, R&D, etc.
• Identify prospective customers though leads given from marketing company partnered with and quoting
• Contact new and existing customers to increase sales
• Emphasize the technology and services to highlight how they solve customer problems
• Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
• Follow up on quotes sent and keep in contact with customers after delivery
• Collaborate with colleagues in all departments to facilitate customer satisfaction
• Maintain contact lists to insure we have the best contact information for all customers
• Must have the ability to read prints and view electronic drawings to generate quotes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Ability to procure vendor pricing for product and services
• Very good communication skills via phone, email, and face to face customer contact.
• Must have a customer first mentality and a drive to succeed
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced office environment.
• Location - near Ayers, MA

Profile

A successful Inside Sales / Customer Service professional should have:

• Have machine shop or manufacturing background
• Have RFQ & quoting experience
• A willingness to learn and adapt to a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Cross collaboration skills - with engineering, R&D, sales, etc.

• Located near Ayers, MA to come onsite
