Project Executive - Chicago Commercial Construction Interiors

My client is one of Chicago's most reputable general contractors that has been around for over 100 years that primarily works on Chicago-based projects. They are offering a high paying base salary, bonus structure, and profit sharing opportunities to bring on an experienced Project Executive to the team.

Our client is a fast growing and reputable general contractor located in the heart of Chicago. Project portfolio includes mainly interior projects within commercial, office, multifamily, education, retail, and healthcare spaces. Description

  • Overall project administration, project management team, leadership, and technical direction of tenant interior projects
  • Manage bid requests, review bids, develop subcontracts
  • Direct lead for estimating and take offs
  • Handle all project buyout within designated time frame
  • Review project submittals for conformance to contract documents from subcontractors
  • Direction of all RFI's requested
  • Direction of all Submittal's requested
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plan
  • Manage special Inspection Schedules
  • Work directly with Architects, Engineers and Municipalities to ensure plans are designed per owner specifications and value engineered
  • Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates
  • Review Daily Reports and Safety Inspections from on-site Superintendents
  • Organize, attend, participate, and lead project meetings, including subcontractor meetings involving pre-construction, scope of work, scheduling, safety, etc
  • Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
  • Managing and multitasking multiple projects at a time
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints, CAD files as well as Municipality code and requirements

Profile

  • 10+ of experience leading tenant interiors or commercial projects in Chicago or surrounding suburbs
  • Have experience overseeing a project management team
  • 4 year degree; construction management, engineering, architecture or similar (Required)
  • Have a strong network in the industry and manage client relationships
  • Ability to attend networking events, meet with clients, and have a strong network of subcontractors in Chicago
  • Proficient with Procore, Microsoft Projects, Bluebeam (preferred)
  • Proficient with scheduling software (Primavera or similar)
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills
