Dispatch Manager

This role will require high level attention to detail and project management skills as it pertains to dispatching to fulfill daily work orders.

Privately held organization that has been in business for over 90 years! Our client provides full cycle transport and relocation services for corporate organizations.

Description

• Dispatch union employees to job sites based on seniority, skill level, and contractual rules.

• Coordinate daily workforce assignments to maximize efficiency and meet operational needs.

• Manage and maintain scheduling, ensuring labor is properly allocated while controlling costs.

• Work closely with warehouse operations to align dispatching with inventory and logistics.

• Handle and balance multiple personalities, ensuring smooth communication and conflict resolution.

• Oversee and assist in enforcing safety protocols across operations.

• Adapt quickly to changing schedules, job site needs, and operational challenges.

Profile

• Proven experience in dispatching within a union environment.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse workforce.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.

• Background in warehouse operations, furniture manufacturing, or commercial move management is a plus.

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and best practices.
