Senior Process Engineer - Oil & Gas - Waltham, MA
In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a company dedicated to eliminating CO2 emissions from industrial engineering processes. My client is seeking someone with mechanical design experience, thermal experience, and strong communication skills.

You will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for...
Developing industrial pumping, filtration, mixing, storage, and membrane systems.
Developing, modifying, and maintaining project-specific process design packages (PFD, P&IDs, specifications).
Completing process analyses for systems and sub-components (e.g., mass balances, pump calculations, heat exchanger sizing, tank sizing, pipe sizing).
Performing process static and dynamic analyses, including sensitivity studies.
Evaluating technologies and strategies to enhance performance, operability, and cost-effectiveness.
Establishing factory and site acceptance procedures, including commissioning support.
Creating component specifications (RFQs), selecting parts, and coordinating with vendors.
Leading hazard analysis on systems (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP).
Supporting root cause analysis of failure modes.
Providing training and guidance to employees, co-ops, customers, and contractors.
Profile
A successful candidate will have...
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of complex process/ piping systems design for capital projects
- Large industrial scale equipment experience
- Familiarity with separation processes desired
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
- Strong communication skills
