We're supporting a highly respected, privately held Design‑Build and Construction Management firm in Southern New Hampshire in their search for a mid-level Estimator. This company has been in business for over 55 years, maintains a strong repeat‑client base (85% repeat work), and is experiencing a significant increase in awarded projects across multiple sectors.

They deliver a wide range of commercial projects including healthcare, education, retail, manufacturing, office, hospitality, nonprofit, and senior living. Their typical workload centers around $7M-$12M projects, with the ability to tackle work ranging from $200K - $40M.

With a tight‑knit team of approximately 15 employees, they offer a collaborative environment with direct access to leadership.

Description

As the Estimator, you will:

• Lead the full estimating process for commercial projects between $200K-$40M, including conceptual, schematic, and final estimates.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to produce accurate takeoffs and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Collaborate closely with the PX (your direct manager), Project Managers, and Superintendents to support preconstruction planning.
• Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor bids while maintaining strong trade partner relationships.
• Prepare budgets, value‑engineering options, and pricing assessments.
• Participate in design‑build planning sessions and client discussions as needed.
• Assist in project handoff meetings to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to operations.
• Utilize Procore and Microsoft applications for estimating, documentation, and internal reporting.

Profile

The client is looking for someone who is:

• A mid-level Estimator with consistent tenure
• Experienced in commercial construction estimating across ground‑up projects.
• Comfortable working within multiple sectors (e.g., commercial, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, multifamily, education).
• Strong with quantitative takeoffs, subcontractor coordination, and building competitive, accurate estimates.
• Tech‑savvy and proficient with Procore and Microsoft platforms.
• Professional, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong personality fit-culture is very important.
• Able to commute to Bedford, NH daily
