Electrical Department Supervisor - Industrial - Tampa, FL
My client is looking for an Electrical Department Supervisor to lead their electrical team in the manufacturing of electrical surface finishing equipment. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing electrical design, assembly, and support operations for custom equipment manufacturing.

Description
The Electrical Department Supervisor will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Supervise and mentor a team of electrical technicians, designers, and assemblers.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily departmental activities to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards.
- Support design, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems, panels, and wiring for custom manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company quality procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and team performance

Profile
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or Journeyman/Master Electrician; Certified Electrical Contractor (EC) license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design, assembly, or industrial controls, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, panel design, and PLC/HMI systems.
- Familiarity with CE, UL, NEC, and OSHA electrical standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with team supervision and project oversight.
