Traveling Superintendent - Ground Up Grocery

Client Details
Our client is a national developer and general contractor who has consistently been ranked among the top ENR firms. Their projects include light industrial, big box retail, commercial build outs, restaurants, fuel stations, and senior living. They build in 43 states across the country.
Description
- Lead all field operations for ground-up grocery construction projects, managing activities from site mobilization through final turnover.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections
- Direct and coordinate all subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors involved in ground-up grocery construction, ensuring work aligns with plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Work in partnership with PM to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project
- Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project
- Always promotes positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team
- Schedule and manage all required inspections during ground-up grocery construction, ensuring compliance with local building codes, health department requirements, and permitting agencies.
Profile
- Ability to create and maintain a master schedule as well as strict adherance to safety standards.
- Ground up grocery construction experience
- Client-facing, first-choice customer service, personable, positive attitude
- Refridgeration and cooling system experience
- Technical competencies - iPad, iPhone, Emails, etc.
- Lead Super, Mentor, Ambassador
- Scheduling, Forecasting, and Budgeting, Build Master Schedule
- Ability to prioritize and make critical judgment calls
- Excel and Word experience
- PlanGrid Experience
- National Travel required
- Willing to work Day/Night Shift
