Production & Materials Planner
The Production & Raw Materials Planner will drive the cross-functional team to ensure execution of production plans and needed analysis for the Supply Chain organization. This includes production scheduling, material planning, inventory planning and efficient planning and flow of materials to support product shipments of new and existing SKU's.
Client Details
My client is a national wellness consumer brand with several leading products in big box retailers, drug stores, and grocery chains nationwide. They are looking for a production planning leader to join their team and actively manage scheduling, raw materials planning and inventory flow across two US facilities.
Description
- Create, maintain, and ensure execution of the master schedule for production
- Lead weekly scheduling meetings.
- Drive needed inventory planning strategies
- Collaborate with Quality Control to review and execute plans to complete items on hold.
- Support the sales, inventory, and operations planning (S&OP) process to ensure master production schedule is executed within capacity constraints.
- Develop and implement production performance metrics and supply chain KPIs to monitor and measure the efficiency and effectiveness of planning processes.
- Run reports for review and action including monthly open orders, adherence to open orders, material shortages etc.
- Plan work orders in support of the production schedule and schedule adherence targets; ensure that they are assigned to the appropriate departments.
- Continually monitor and report on production performance identifying issues, bottlenecks or shortages and implement solutions as needed.
- Communicates with purchasing and warehousing to review scheduled delivery of materials to lock the planned production schedule.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the production and demand planning process.
Profile
- Bachelor Degree
- 3-7 years of experience in production planning and/or material planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Infor) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Job Offer
- $80,000 - $100,000 base salary range
