Description

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day heat treat operations, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and team performance.
• Ensure all processes meet metallurgy specifications, hardness requirements, and industry quality standards (including Nadcap).
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs, minimize downtime, and oversee process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members to support professional growth and succession planning.
• Lead preparation for Nadcap audits and ensure ongoing compliance with safety and environmental protocols.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of heat treat operations experience and 5+ years leading production teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Expertise with heat treat equipment (furnaces, quench systems) and deep understanding of metallurgy processes.
• Proven success in aerospace, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance administrative and hands-on work.
