Description
The Superintendent is responsible for:
- Reviewing plans and specs
- Developing RFIS to discuss with Lead Superintendent
- Preparing punch lists and ensuring each item is completed prior to inspection
- Scheduling inspections
- Weekly safety meetings
- Ordering the necessary parts and replacement parts
- Maintaining punch carpenter's supplies
- Overseeing the completion of all rough trade work
- Ensuring compliance with contract documents
- Coordinating final clean prior to punch list and final turnover
- Assisting the Lead superintendent in monitoring subcontractor's efforts (compliant with the safety program)
- Reviewing shop drawing and submittals
- Signing in new building materials
Profile
The right candidate will have:
- 2+ years working as a Superintendent (or 4+ as Assistant Superintendent) with a reputable commercial GC
- Bachelors degree in construction management, or other related field
- Experience running large-scale woodframe multifamily projects
- Professional verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to commute to areas such as Peabody, Newton, Chelmsford, Worcester
- Effectively able to train and manage a team
- Problem-solving skills & can make quick decisions
- Effectively meet deadlines
- Knowledge of federal, state and local codes for ADA, FHA, Waterproof
