Electrical Engineering Manager

As the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of electrical engineering projects. You will lead a small team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, standards-compliant solutions for customers. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the organization's technical strategy.

Description

  • Oversee and guide a multidisciplinary electrical engineering team to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet high-quality standards.
  • Design and develop control panels, renewable energy protection systems, and data center power solutions in accordance with UL and ISO regulations.
  • Analyze customer requirements, specifications, and documentation, collaborating with production, QA, and sales teams to translate needs into manufacturable solutions.
  • Create preliminary and final CAD drawings, BOMs, and other necessary documentation to support proposals, manufacturing, and assembly (role includes both individual contributor and management responsibilities).
  • Lead efforts to innovate design processes, tools, and techniques to enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
  • Provide technical direction throughout the product development lifecycle, including design reviews and risk assessments.
  • Allocate engineering resources and manage project timelines to align with company objectives and customer expectations.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 7 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Solid knowledge of NEC codes and UL standards, including UL508A, UL891, UL687A, and UL98B, as well as ISO9001 requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing automation control systems and/or renewable energy electrical circuits.
  • Proficient with electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented abilities.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell automation products is highly desirable.
  • Experience in data center electrical system design is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of EPICOR or similar MRP/ERP systems is preferred.
