Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Assistant Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving financial performance. This role will be critical in managing the company's financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis, while ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage the company's accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Develop and manage the company's budget and financial forecasts, providing detailed analysis of variances.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring professional growth and development.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
- Partner with senior management to support strategic initiatives through financial insights and analysis.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies in financial reporting and operational procedures.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance metrics, and working capital to ensure financial stability.
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred) or active CPA certification.
- Minimum of 8 - 12+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Understanding of Construction/Project Accounting and WIP a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Offer
- Competitive Base Salary: $130,000 - $150,000
