The Project Manager will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role in the business services industry offers the opportunity to manage diverse projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Client Details

A mid-sized, family-owned general contractor on the Peninsula is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. Founded in the 1980s and now led by a second generation of ownership, the company has become a trusted partner for complex, occupied tenant improvement (TI) projects throughout Silicon Valley.

Their current workload includes several high-profile Apple and Stanford projects, with strong repeat business and a consistent pipeline of $10M-$20M TI jobs.

Description

  • Manage all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to clients and internal teams.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and manage vendor relationships.

Profile

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including occupied lab or office TI work.
  • Experience working with Apple, Stanford, or similar clients with high technical and design standards preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple $10M+ TI projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Job Offer
