Quality Engineer

This role manages and develops quality systems and processes for precision-machined products, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 D standards. It involves inspections, first article reviews, audits, MRB oversight, root cause analysis, and collaboration with internal and external customers to maintain and improve product quality.

Description

Quality Engineer:

  • Maintain and adhere to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System documentation.
  • Conduct and document internal and external quality audits.
  • Manage calibration activities and product/process approvals with customers and auditors.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAIR, FAIP) and oversee AS9102 compliance.
  • Lead MRB (Material Review Board) activities and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and training to Quality Inspectors as needed.

Profile

Quality Engineer:

  • 5+ years of quality and manufacturing experience in a production environment.
  • Proficient in technical drawing interpretation, GD&T, and AS9102.
  • Skilled in non-destructive testing methods (Mag Particle, Dye Penetrant, Pressure Testing).
  • Strong knowledge of metals, CNC machining, mechanical testing, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
