Description
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, estimates, and bid proposals for ground-up and renovation projects ranging from $2M-$20M
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes to ensure comprehensive and competitive bids
- Collaborate closely with Preconstruction Managers and Senior Estimators to strategize on approach and pricing
- Manage and support Assistant Estimators, providing mentorship and oversight as needed
- Lead communication with subcontractors and vendors to solicit pricing and ensure scope coverage
- Utilize BuildingConnected, On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, and Procore to manage all estimating workflows
- Participate in internal handoff meetings with project management and field teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and processes
- Maintain a strong understanding of current market trends, material pricing, and labor conditions
Profile
- 3+ years as an estimator
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience in sectors such as retail, hospitality, life sciences, auto dealerships, or commercial projects
- Proficiency with estimating software, digital takeoff tools, and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
- Based in or able to commute regularly to Beverly, MA (in-office role)
- A team-oriented mindset with a desire to grow within a reputable and expanding firm
