Description
The Senior HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for:
- Portfolio Oversight: Manage HVAC maintenance and repairs for 2+ million square feet of commercial real estate across Northern MA.
- System Maintenance: Perform inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance for all types of HVAC units and equipment, including chiller plants, heat pumps, and cooling towers.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all systems operate at peak efficiency by troubleshooting distribution systems for velocity, volume, temperature, and pressure.
- Compliance Management: Oversee HVAC code-required compliance testing and maintain comprehensive records for inspection and safety standards.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage third-party service providers, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- On-Call Support: Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation every six weeks.
- Construction Coordination: Collaborate with the Construction Management division on new projects and renovations, including system commissioning and as-built organization.
- Team Development: Assist in training other technicians and staff in preventative maintenance best practices.
Profile
The successful Senior HVAC Mechanic will have:
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of HVAC maintenance experience (stable employment history strongly preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems, and mechanical equipment.

Licenses & Certifications:
- MA Refrigeration License (Required)
- OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)
- Honeywell Control System experience (Preferred)
- Soft Skills: Strong team orientation, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely use ladders.
- Location: Must be commutable to Westford/Burlington, MA.
