Plastics - Operations Manager - Norton, MA
The Operations Manager will oversee operations at two manufacturing facilities in Mansfield, MA, driving performance and fostering improvements. With leadership responsibilities, they will contribute to the operational success while supporting daily functions and working closely with the broader team to shape the company's direction. This role demands strong organizational, communication, and follow-up abilities.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead by example to prioritize safety, ensuring a culture of compliance and accountability throughout the organization.
- Manage and coordinate manufacturing functions, including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Material Handling, Environmental Health & Safety, and Material Scheduling.
- Collaborate with teams across Human Resources, Accounting, and Purchasing to align needs, set clear goals, and ensure full support for manufacturing operations.
- Ensure adherence to SQF standards and take a proactive role in audits, serving as a key resource and leader throughout the process.
- Verify compliance with product stewardship requirements for all materials used in production processes.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop systems to gather, analyze, and use production data to set targets, drive productivity, and meet operational goals.
- Foster a positive work culture by modeling core values such as collaboration, excellence, and teamwork.
- Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement initiatives, driving enhanced safety, productivity, and quality across the plant.
- Ensure operational consistency by developing and standardizing key plant processes across locations.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
- Lean manufacturing experience is required.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
