Design Engineer- Packaging- Bedford, NH
The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating, developing, and optimizing designs to meet project specifications and client needs. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of engineering principles and a passion for innovation in the packaging industry.

Our client is a medium-sized company operating in the packaging industry. They have several location in the New England area and dominate a niche side of the industry with their dedication to developing top products.
Description
- Design and develop innovative packaging solutions that meet project requirements, customer specifications, and manufacturability constraints.
- Create detailed technical drawings, models, and production specifications to support manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including production, quality, and assembly to ensure designs transition smoothly from concept to production.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and material evaluations to determine the most effective design and assembly methods.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements across all design work.
- Test, evaluate, and refine prototypes, incorporating feedback from assembly and production teams to optimize performance and ease of assembly.
- Provide hands‑on technical support on the production floor, assisting with assembly challenges, troubleshooting issues, and implementing engineering solutions.
- Document design processes, revisions, and specifications, maintaining accurate and organized records throughout the project lifecycle.

Profile
A successful Design Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar) and other relevant design tools.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot design and assembly challenges.
- Knowledge of industry standards, materials, and manufacturing/assembly processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and assembly teams.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high‑quality, manufacturable designs.
