Key Responsibilities for the Pre-Construction Director include:

• Project Planning: Develop and manage comprehensive pre-construction plans and schedules, ensuring all project requirements are met.
• Estimating: Oversee the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
• Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the pre-construction phase, addressing their needs and ensuring clear communication.
• Business Development: Engage with potential new clients to identify and secure new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships to expand the client base.
• Coordination: Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate project requirements and resolve any pre-construction issues.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges before project commencement.
• Documentation: Ensure all pre-construction documentation is complete and up-to-date, including contracts, permits, and compliance requirements.

Profile

The ideal Pre-Construction Director - New Jersey will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in pre-construction management within the industrial construction sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects. A strong background in business development, including experience in engaging and securing new clients, is preferred. They will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, a deep understanding of construction estimating and planning processes, and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are preferred.
