Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will support project management and field operations teams in Irvine, delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget. My client, a growing commercial general contractor based in Orange County, is looking to add a Project Engineer to their building and construction team in irvine. The company specializes in large, formulaic retail and quick-serve restaurant (QSR) projects, with an annual revenue of about $30M. They have built a strong reputation in the retail construction space and offer a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Description

• Assist in coordinating all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout

• Review and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation

• Support scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking for assigned projects

• Communicate with subcontractors, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution

• Work closely with superintendents and project managers to maintain quality and safety standards

Profile

• 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction, ideally focused on retail or QSR projects

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
