Regulatory Specialist
My client is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Specialist to ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on evolving regulations, generate product labels and compliance documentation, and collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations teams to mitigate regulatory risks. Description
- Develop And Review Product Labels: Create, evaluate, and approve food labels to ensure full compliance with global regulatory requirements and brand guidelines. Proactively address and communicate discrepancies.
- Packaging And Marketing Compliance: Assess product packaging and marketing materials to verify adherence to legal, regulatory, and industry standards, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Regulatory Documentation Management: Establish and maintain an organized document management system to collect, assess, and archive regulatory documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Regulatory Claims Management: Design and oversee systems to track data related to regulatory claims, enabling instant determination of allowable claims based on product formulations and manufacturing locations.
- Regulatory Submissions and Reporting: Prepare and deliver regulatory documentation to retailers, importers, and regulatory authorities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Risk, Identification, and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments on a product-by-product basis to identify potential regulatory challenges and implement proactive solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with R&D, Quality, Marketing, and Operations teams to provide regulatory guidance, support product development, and address compliance challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
- Government Audits And Inquiries: Assist with responding to government audits and inquiries related to product claims, ensuring timely and accurate submissions of required documentation. Support the preparation of responses to regulatory bodies by providing relevant data and reports to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards.
Profile
- Proven experience in a regulatory specialist role, with at least 3 years of experience within the. food & beverage or nutraceutical industries.
- In-depth knowledge of global food regulations (FDA, USDA, EU, CFIA).
- Experience with nutritional labelling software (Genesis, Flavor Studio, or comparable software).
- Experience with document management software (TraceGains or comparable software).
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and proficient with the rest of the Microsoft suite.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Tech-savviness and a knack for quickly adapting to emerging tools and technologies.
- A rapid learning ability, allowing you to flourish in our dynamic and evolving environment.
Job Offer
- Annual Salary: $90,000-$110,000 DOE
