Description
Key Responsibilities are:
- Play a critical dual role in driving revenue growth by combining technical expertise with consultative selling
- Support the quoting and business development process while actively identifying, qualifying, and converting new customer opportunities across
- Outsource medical device packaging, sterilization, and testing service
- Act as a trusted technical liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment between customer needs and LSO capabilities
Quoting & Technical Engagement:
- Lead commercial quoting activities: analyze requirements, develop cost models, and prepare detailed quote packages for RFQs
- Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Operations to align customer requests with internal capabilities and cost structures
- Perform technical reviews of customer documentation and ensure project setup meets expectations
Sales Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Identify and qualify leads through cold calling, referrals, events, and CRM activity.
- Build a strong pipeline of potential clients in the medical device manufacturing sector.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Act as a primary point of contact for both new and existing customers.
- Meet with clients to assess their technical and commercial needs; propose tailored solutions based on LSO's capabilities.
- Support the entire customer journey from prospecting through quoting, sales closure, onboarding, and post-sale support.
Sales Presentations & Demonstrations:
- Prepare and deliver compelling product/service presentations and demonstrations.
- Explain technical processes and value-added services clearly to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical stakeholders).
Contract Negotiation & Closing:
- Lead sales discussions, present pricing, and negotiate terms in collaboration with leadership.
- Secure purchase orders and ensure client satisfaction with a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness.
Sales Reporting & CRM Utilization:
- Maintain detailed CRM records of sales activities, quotes, customer meetings, and outcomes.
- Regularly forecast revenue, track KPIs, and provide updates to executive management. Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine service offerings and pricing strategy.
- Recommend potential product or service enhancements based on market needs.
Profile
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical), Business, or related field (preferred). Technical degree strongly desired.
- Minimum 2-5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or application engineering in a manufacturing or medical device environment.
- Proven success with commercial quoting and bill of materials analysis.
- CRM proficiency, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; persuasive and clear.
- Demonstrated negotiation and deal-closing ability.
- High energy, self-motivated, goal-driven, and professional presence.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build long-term relationships.
- Familiarity with FDA/ISO13485-regulated manufacturing is a plus.
- Onsite - at facility in Somersworth, NH
- Travel - minimal to customer locations
