The Assistant Estimator will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for ground-up construction projects up to $40M, ensuring all aspects of the bidding process are handled efficiently. • Projects throughout the Greater Boston area; primarily all 5 minutes from the office, along with projects in Lynn and Braintree
• Projects from $20M - $40M
• Projects: Academic, Historical Renovations, Smaller Multifamily, Restaurants, Healthcare
• Mid-size firm with owners coming from Large National GC, family owned business
• 30+ years in the industry

Description

Assistant Estimator - Ground Up Projects up to $40M! - $100k - Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with the project team to gather necessary information for accurate bids and proposals.
• Review project documents, such as blueprints and specifications, to ensure a thorough understanding of scope.
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Maintain updated records of project estimates and budgets for internal tracking.
• Support the development of value engineering solutions to optimize project costs.
• Assist in identifying potential risks and opportunities within project estimates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all estimating activities.
